The Avenues, Biggest Mall in Kuwait

Today I visited The avenues, It hosts the widest selection of international brands in the region spread over 216 stores including Kuwait's first Carrefour hypermarket, the region's largest IKEA store, Cinescape, (a ten-screen Cinema complex), 39 restaurants and cafes within a lively 'Theatre of Food'. Phase One comprises 170,000 square metres of leasable area and over 4,000 car parking spaces. In addition to hosting a wide range of well-known brands, The Avenues will introduce new fashion brands to the Kuwaiti marketplace, such as Forever 21, Banana Republic, and The White Co. Kuwait's retail giant M.H. Alshaya Co. will have over 40 commercial outlets at the mall, including Starbucks, Debenhams, Mothercare, Boots, Next, H&M, and Foot Locker.

Souk Al Sharq

Souk Al Sharq, one of the best malls built on Sea. Its a huge market with all top international brands, Debenhams in one corner and Sultan center on the other. It was opened in 1999.I had gone there with my brother,Afroz Ahmad the first time and was amazed with the beauty. The prices are at higher side but a good place to hang out and have food.Here is the picture of backside of Mall from the beach side.

The mall was also hit by a missile from IRAQ in 2005.Many big malls have been built nowdays but this has its own importance.This picture is at a parking lot and you can see the sea behind.

Kuwait Tower and Beaches

Kuwait Beaches are so quiet and pleasant. Had swam in the sea I was 5, Recently I again visited the famous sea near kuwait towers. The sea in the picture is arabian gulf and tower is called kuwait towers ,It was designed by were designed by Sune Lindström and Malene Björn and were built by Energoprojekt, a company from Belgrade, Serbia

The Kuwait Towers are three towers of reinforced concrete in Kuwait City. The main tower is 187 metres high and serves as a restaurant and water tower. It also has a Viewing Sphere which rises to 11123 meters above sea level and completes a full round turn every 30 minutes. The second tower is 145.8 metres high and serves as a water tower. The third tower houses equipment to control the flow of electricity and illuminates the two bigger towers. Below is picture of beach from foot of kuwait towers



Kuwait Towers is artichtecural beauty and main tourist attraction in kuwait. "Your visit to kuwait is uncomplete without seeing this," says my father Mohammad Anis Ahmad.Another picture from 100ms of kuwait towers

airlift cab

I have come to Bangalore airport by Airlift, I only had two options the bus and airlift , my flight was at 4 in the morning so was risky to go to the bus stop in the night and was far too.. other option was airlift, though I heard bad reviews about this but it was the cheapest and best option. There was confusion about luggage allowed, You can easily carry 30 kgs luggage and at odd time there will be max 3 people in 5 seater. The cost is 330. there is no GPS and TV as depicted in the add.

At BIAL Airport

Hi friends, I am leaving to kuwait and writing this post from WIFI in BIAL. Bangalore international airport. This new airport started recently and its very grand , everything is good about the Airport but its very far from the city. its like a real internationaly airport with free dutyshops. The food is expensive and minimum you can have is a coke of 56 rs.There is a free WIFI in BIAL though you have to send an sms for password.

A smile in Sky

This photo was taken by me on 1st december 2009. A check on the Internet revealed that the stellar phenomenon was caused by Venus, Jupiter and a three-day-old crescent moon aligning at the right spots to form the Smiley.
To see it agaib you will have to wait another five years before Smiley appears in the night sky again.
